Steve Jacques joined the NXF Board, for the second time, in 2015 having previously been involved in 2008/09. Steve is the Vice Chairperson and Company Secretary and is actively involved in the GALAS LGBTQ+ Awards sub-committee.
Steve is a licensed social worker and experienced executive leader with international C-Suite positions. He has worked in the social services sector for 30 years, across both government and non-government agencies. In 2005, he was the founder Director of Fostering First Ireland and later became the Group CEO, contributing to and leading the organisation’s global development.
Steve is currently a consultant and the Executive Chairperson for Odyssey Social Care and Executive Advisor to Broadlake, a private investment company, he is also a seasonal Cabin Crew member with Aer Lingus.
Steve has been active in LGBT+ advocacy since his early 20s. He co-founded “Same Love” in 1998, an inclusive faith-based network in northern England. Steve is a renowned LGBT+ Role Model, appearing in top LGBT+ executive and role model lists from Google/Deloitte, Financial Times, and Yahoo Finance. He was a finalist for the Diversity Champion Award at the European Diversity Awards and received the British LGBT Awards Inspirational Leader Award in 2021.
Stephen is a fellow of the St. Georges Society of Leadership Fellows and a Non-Executive Director of Key Assets USA. He is passionate about supporting others to achieve their potential at work and in life! Steve lives in Dublin with his husband Patrick.
