Anna Nolan is Chair of the National LGBTQ+ Federation. She also works at COCO Content, one of Ireland’s leading television production companies.
Anna has worked in media for over 20 years. As one of the directors of COCO Content, she combines creative and strategic thinking with her series producing.
Anna has worked for the BBC and Channel 4 in London, along with RTE and Virgin Media in Ireland. She has broadcast for RTE Radio 1 and has contributed to most national radio shows. She has written articles for The Guardian, The Irish Independent, The Irish Times and The Herald.
Anna was made Chair of the NXF in January 2023. Prior to this, she joined the NXF board in 2020, becoming Committee Lead with Gay Community News (GCN), working closely with the Managing Editor on Operations, HR and Strategy.
In October 2023 she launched the NXF Strategy 2023 – 2026. Within this strategy, the NXF created five working groups – GCN (Gay Community News), The GALAS, The Activist Academy, The Rainbow Summit and the Fundraising and Partnerships Group.
Anna’s ambition for the NXF is to constantly evolve, ensuring its relevance to the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland and beyond, and to continue to be an organisation that creates impactful work with achievable results.
